Alsace Pinot Gris ’19, Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr

£15.99

The first writings tell that in 1123, Pope Calixte II took up the defense of this small village and its vineyard to put an end to an overtaxed regime.

After the war, the wine trade in Alsace was completely disorganized. In 1954 the winegrowers of Hunawihr pooled their efforts to vinify and sell their production themselves.

Aware of the richness of their terroirs, the winegrowers spent their days working in the vines… And their nights building the cellar buildings in which we continue to perpetuate their know-how.

50 years later, the Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr is ranked among the best by “La Revue du Vin de France”: 1st cooperative cellar in Alsace and 3rd in France.
